Role of the Dementia Institute
The Dementia Institute was created to improve dementia well-being.
Our dementia experts support those living with dementia and their care partners with dozens of classes, consultations, navigation, support, respite, engagement products, and much more.
We also train and certify healthcare professionals, ministry leaders, and emergency responders, and collaborate with health systems, universities, and other experts around the country.
Our Mission
In fulfilling God’s calling to serve others, we will serve with love and compassion, commit to excellence, and follow Christ’s teachings and example in all we do.

Our Vision
To be the leader in delivering accessible world-class care solutions that advance the well-being of persons living with dementia and their supporters.

Our Background
In 2023, the Dementia Institute was born out decades of caring for residents with dementia at our partner organization Holland Home in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Holland Home was the fifth nationally and the first in the state to be recognized by Positive Approach to Care®. We are also a partner of several dementia-specialized organizations in homecare, hospice, senior living, day services, and community-based care.
